Alice Cooper Creeps Back To Life With 'Spider' Tour

Veteran shock-rocker Alice Cooper has revealed dates for a lengthy summer/fall tour in support of his forthcoming new album, "Along Came a Spider."

The singer/songwriter and, more recently, radio DJ, will kick off the run July 31 in Redmond, OR. The 35-city trek will consist of a US outing running through early September, followed by an extensive Canadian leg before the tour winds down in Upstate New York in late October.

Cooper will also tackle a slate of European dates in July. Consult the singer's official website for his full international itinerary.

Cooper's backing band for the tour will feature guitarists Kari Kelli and Damon Johnson (Brother Cane), bassist Chuck Garric and drummer Eric Singer (Kiss).

ANGER. It bothers me that artists that were good 20-35 years ago, and are now in their old age, keep making albums and touring. its usually not good material, and 99% of the tme people get pissed off because these guys cant play as good as they used to. maybe I'm crazy, but this is really how I feel.

before you say that about the coop, let me say trhis:

we saw him on hislast tour, and he was definately still on the ball. yes, heis a little old, but i would be gutted if i never got to seehim live. i think its good that younger fans get to see their idols.

I saw Alice last year on my 18th birthday. It...was awesome. Who'd have thought a 60-year old man could move around the stage with the energy of his band, most about one third his age. Sure, some old rockers can't perform up to par anymore, but Mr. Cooper is most definatley an exception.

Can't wait, he has his ups and downs but Alice always bounces back...I reckon he'll be on top form.
