Japanese J-pop/Death Metal fusion band BabyMetal has been announced as the support act for Lady Gaga for five of the shows on the singer's "artRAVE: the ARTPOP ball" tour, Blabbermouth reports. The band will play a few dates throughout July and August (check out below).
As well as this, BabyMetal is set to play a headlining show at the Fonda Theater in Los Angeles on July 27.
The band, which is a spin-off from the Japanese pop idol group Sakura Gakuin, released its debut album on February 26th. They made it to No 3 on iTunes' US Rock chart and the Top 10 in six other countries, including the UK. The band's video for the song "Gimme Chocolate" has received nearly 10 million views on YouTube. BabyMetal was also featured on the cover of Kerrang! magazine.
