Punk-pop outfit Bowling For Soup will kick off a spring tour later this month as the group looks to build momentum behind its latest release, last fall's "The Great Burrito Extortion Case."
The Texas foursome recently played the first leg of a sold-out UK tour, according to the band's publicist, and plans to return overseas for a second leg after completing the US outing, which launches April 13 in Kansas City, MO.
The 16-city trek will be followed by an "
extensive" summer tour later this year, according to a press release issued by the group.
Released last November, "The Great Burrito Extortion Case" is the Bowling for Soup's first full-length studio album since 2004's gold-certified "A Hangover You Don't Deserve."
The album features several tracks co-written by Stacy Jones of American Hi-Fi, as well as the album's second single, "When We Die," which was co-written and produced by longtime Bowling for Soup collaborator Butch Walker.
The band's new video for "When We Die" can be viewed at the group's official website.
