Mate of Jack White and pretty-decent-singer/songwriter-in-his-own-right Brendan Benson has announced a UK tour for October that will include his biggest UK headline show to date at London’s Shepherds Bush Empire on October 14.
Before coming to the UK, Brendan will hook up with his White Stripes chums and play a few choice shows around the US including a hometown show in Detroit at The Masonic Temple (October 01).
The fruits of this collaboration with
Jack White will be released later this year on a record under the name The Raconteurs, with the sound being described as a cross between Nirvana and Cat Stevens.
Benson and his band will play tracks from his current album "The Alternative To Love" and the tour coinsides with a new single that will be released in October, details of which are yet to be confirm.
