Legendary rock icons, Lynyrd Skynyrd, announce a busy and highly-visible month, starting with their nationally televised Super Bowl tailgating party in Jacksonville, Fla; then heading to Los Angeles to perform on the Grammy Awards show and then releasing a new album, Then And Now Vol II.
Lynyrd Skynyrd will host a kickoff to Super Bowl XXXIX on the eve of the big game. The tailgate party is a special one-hour live concert, “Lynyrd Skynyrd’s Super Bowl Saturday Night Special, airing on CMT, Saturday, February 5th, 2005 at 9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT.
On February 13th Lynyrd Skynyrd will be the centerpiece of the 47th Annual Grammy Awards’ tribute to Southern Rock. During a four-song medley, which opens and closes with Lynyrd Skynyrd songs “Free Bird” and “Sweet Home Alabama,” respectively, other country and southern rock singers will join Skynyrd on stage for two additional songs.
Just two days after this not-to-be-missed performance, Sanctuary Records will release Then And Now Vol. II on February 15th.
