EMI Records have announced that Captain will be touring the UK throughout April and May. The majority of the dates will see Captain headline, with the odd support show and Camden Crawl appearance thrown in for good measure.
Following an eventful stint at SXSW (when one of Captain's outdoor gigs was rained off, the band - all dressed up with no gig to play - staged an impromptu acoustic set in an alleyway, with bins for drums) and a fantastic support tour with The Delays, Captain are now gearing up for the summer release of Trevor Horn-produced debut album 'This is Hazelville'.
'
Broke', the first single proper to be taken from the album, will be released on May 1st. Its feel-good, harmonious hooks and irresistible melody has already won over numerous supporters at Radio 1 and BBC 6Music, including Jo Whiley, Steve Lamacq and Zane Lowe, who have all been playing the record.
On top of that, 'Broke' is Colin and Edith record of the week this week.
