Fresh off the Warped Tour, hardcore/emo rockers Chiodos are gearing up to launch their own major North American outing to support their forthcoming album, "Bone Palace Ballet."
The trek kicks off Sept. 23 in Grand Rapids, MI, and criss-crosses the US through late November, with a couple of stops in Canada. Emery, Scary Kids Scaring Kids [ tickets ] and The Devil Wears Prada will jump on board beginning Oct. 19. The itinerary is listed below.
In the meantime, Chiodos will do a mini-tour of in-store meet-and-greets to launch "Bone Palace Ballet," which drops next week. Those dates can be found at the band's website.
The album is Chiodos' sophomore offering on Equal Vision Records, following 2005's "All's Well That Ends Well." A couple of songs from the new set are streaming at the band's MySpace page.
The rockin' sextet formed in high school just outside of Flint, MI. With the 2002 release of their demo, "The Best Way to Ruin Your Life," the guys managed to build a healthy following on the local scene, according to their bio.
From there, they self-recorded their first full-length, "The Heartless Control Everything," which was subsequently released on Search and Rescue Records. That led to several full US tours and performances with bands including Yellowcard and Coheed & Cambria. The buzz caught the attention of Equal Vision, which signed Chiodos in 2004.
The band will get even more exposure next month when it is featured on the cover of Alternative Press magazine.
