Before heading out on a European road trip, hip-hop act Cypress Hill will couple a spring excursion with a pair of festival performances in support of "Rise Up," the group's first new studio album in six years.
Nearly a half-dozen concerts are slated for this month, beginning with an April 10 show in Philadelphia. The official tour kicks off May 11 in Houston and currently runs through two festival gigs: Aug. 8 at Chicago's Lollapalooza and the Mile High Music Festival slated for Aug. 14 in Commerce City, CO. The full schedule is shown at this location.
More dates will be announced in the coming weeks, according to a press release.
Cypress Hill will release "Rise Up," the group's eighth studio effort, April 20. The DJ Muggs-produced set follows 2004's "Til Death Do Us Part," which peaked at No. 21 on The Billboard 200.
An array of all-star guests are featured on the new album, including Linkin Park vocalist Mike Shinoda, System Of A Down guitarist/vocalist Daron Malakian, Everlast, Young De, Evidence and The Alchemist, as well as comics Cheech and Chong.
The album's two lead singles - the title track and "Armada Latina" - are currently streaming at the act's website.
