In case you haven't had the opportunity to listen to it, Denver Harbor's "Scenic" is one of the most exciting CDs to come around in a long time. It's a diverse work by a band that had the balls to go into the studio and record what they liked; as opposed to trying please a particular demographic by staying within the confines of a particular musical genre. It's the album's diversity and some incredible musicianship especially that of drummer, Ilan Rubin, that puts this one a notch above most other releases this year. Although the CD is filled with variety, it is Will Salazar's pleasing and unique lead vocals, coupled with some rather tasteful harmonies that serve as a common thread throughout the record; giving each song an undeniable and unmistakable Denver Harbor sound.
