Dispatch Show Sells Out In One Hour

Dispatch, the most popular band in independent music, was to hold one show called Dispatch: Zimbabwe on July 14th.

On Wednesday at noon EST, the show was available to myspace presalers with the password of "Zimbabwe". Within an hour, that show was sold out. They added a second show to the Dispatch: Zimbabwe set, on Friday July 13th, 2007.

The presale is still up. The show sold out at an unprecedented speed for a band that had never been signed to a record label, let alone any band.

On their website was posted the following:

"Due to the unprecedented demand for tickets, DISPATCH: ZIMBABWE on July 14 is officially SOLD OUT.

"We will be adding a second show immediately that will take place on Friday, July 13. Tickets are available for Friday, July 13 right this moment via ticketmaster.com. You can access these tickets with the same presale password, from the MySpace Exclusive Presale."

The General is my fav song by them, you should check it out. Man I wish they would play a show here in the midwest.....

Don't check out the general.

Check out Time Served, Elias, and Open up.

They aren't playing in Zimbabwe. It's just a 100 percent benefit show for the nation.

I've got superb tickets for the 13th and alright for the 14th. Totally worth the airfare.

They also announced they were planning more shows in july.\

ok, so dispatch is an insane band under no label cuz they simply can't be labeled. their final show expected 12,000 or something, but 110,000 people showed up from around the WORLD. They were around in the late 90's and until around like 2002 or something i believe? i just got on the dispatch wagon about 6 months ago--i don't know how i missed them!! they are incredible. as for a song... i have to go with steeples. musical perfection. that hook is one of the best i have ever heard.

Yeah...Dispatch is by far the best independent band ever to set foot on this Earth.....wait.....lets make them the best band ever. And to clear things up from some earlier posts, they aren't playing in Zimbabwe they are playing in New York City, which is on the east coast (somebody said they wished they played closer to the east coast). Go Dispatch, I hope they play more shows

I found their song, Water Stop, on a P2P program one day over 3 years ago and haven't stopped listening to them since. I think The General was the fourth song I heard from them. It's good, but it's not my favorite.
