The Dresden Dolls -- who also have described themselves as "dadaist vaudeville" -- will launch another round of dates in October backing their most recent album, "Yes, Virginia."
The outing, which kicks off October 9 in San Diego, comes before singer/pianist Amanda Palmer and drummer Brian Viglione open a five-week stretch performing in the American Repertory Theatre's staging of "The Onion Cellar," an original production conceived by Palmer and Marcus Stern, with music composed by Palmer.
The Dolls will be joined on their October tour by
The Red Paintings, a self-described "
orchestral sci-fi art rock" act from Australia.
