Embrace To Replace Jet

NME reports, Embrace will replace Jet at this weekend’s V Festival. As we reported yesterday, the Australian rockers decided to return home because of a family death.

The band were due to appear below Kings Of Leon on the NME Stage at this year’s event, which takes place at Hylands Park in Chelmsford and Weston Park in Stafford (August 21-22). Organisers originally said that there would be no replacement for Jet. However, Embrace will step in.

Bandmember Danny McNamara said: “It was a bit of a shock to get the call - but I can’t wait! I’m just going to go on there and enjoy it. There’s no pressure, we’re like the underdogs in the Cup Final!"

Embrace are much better than Jet, good swap.

They're both good bands, I guess it doesn't matter who thinks who is better cause Jet isn't playing. Just because one band hasn't had enough recognition, doesn't mean they're not as good as one who has.

Embrace, not bad. Jet, astounding! In refrence to dogsballs question: Glastonbury, and reading are at a similar leval of good...ish..ness, yeah thats a word, but i'd say it completly depends on the line-up, i didn't really approve of glastonburys this year!

jet kicks ass man, sucks about their loss in their family though. just thought i'd be the first to show any concern for them as appossed to just putting them down
