Fans of Finger Eleven know that the band have come a long way since their days as the Rainbow Butt Monkeys. Although the group have always had a pretty loyal following over their 10-year tenure in the music business, this year has arguably been the most successful year for the Burlington five-piece. Touring all over the world opening for bands like Evanescence has helped to finally make them recognizable in places other than their home turf. Of course, the more they play, the better known they become.
Now, the band are set to return home for a cross-Canada jaunt entitled the
Summer Of Judgement Tour. The tour begins on May 31 in Saint John, NB.
Although the band have now acquired their much deserved success and fame, they seem to have remained down to earth guys and are trying to help out younger bands who have not made it yet. Finger Eleven are offering a chance for unsigned bands to open for them on this tour. They will be accepting songs through the Web and will be choosing one winner in each participating city to open for that show. Visit www.fingerpickingood.com for all the info.
Also, as previously reported, Finger Eleven will join Good Charlotte, Jet and Billy Talent and others for this year's Edgefest on July 2 at the Molson Amphitheatre in Toronto.
