Foo Fighters To Play Grammy Nominations Show

Despite taking a self-proclaimed "break" from music, the Foo Fighters have been signed up to play The Grammy Nominations Concert: Countdown to Music’s Biggest Night along with the likes of B.B. King, John Mayer, Mariah Carey, and Celine Dion.

The show is scheduled to air live on December 3 from the Nokia Theatre L.A. Live in Los Angeles, California on CBS.

The show, which will be hosted by L.L. Cool J and Taylor Swift, will be the first time in history that the Grammy nominations will be announced live on primetime television.

Along with hosting the televised event, the program will also serve as a grand opening for the Grammy Museum located in downtown Los Angeles.

Tickets for the event are already on sale and can be found at Ticketmaster. The 51st Annual Grammy Awards will take place on February 8, 2009.

Anyway, if this is a one off, has there been any talk about what Dave's going to be doind in his off time, music wise? I assume everybody else is going to play with their sideprojects and "be dads" as it's been quoted, but there really wasn't anything mentioned about what Dave was going to do.

Yeah it's a one off, I'm pretty sure they're taking a break from recording and touring on a semi constant. I'm sure the one night show wont take too much time away from Dave and Taylor raising their kid's.

Im a HUGE Foo fan,but King is just one of the most legendary musicians ever.They both put on great shows,seen them both this year.

I actually saw FF and BB King last year, both were great (BB and his band was better though). Blues are just seem so underrated and under appreciated that most people forget where guitarists and other players got most their style and moves from.

I dont know, i mean In Your Honor was a BAD album, but their last one was pretty good. I thin kthey still have some good stuff in them
