Alt-rockers Fuel have added another month's worth of dates to the tour supporting their latest release, "Angels and Devils."
The band, which kicked off its inaugural run with new singer Toryn Green over the summer, continues the outing 11/08 in Baltimore and has US shows booked from coast to coast through mid-December.
Alt-metal outfit Trapt appears on most dates along with hard rockers Submersed and Endeverafter. The lineup for each night is posted at Fuel's
website.
"Angels and Devils," which surfaced in August, is Fuel's first album with Green. After original vocalist Brett Scallions parted ways with the band in 2004, the remaining members tried to recruit "American Idol" finalist Chris Daughtry to no avail, so they conducted an Internet search to find a new singer. Green competed against thousands of hopefuls to win the job.
Fuel's remaining original members, guitarist/chief songwriter Carl Bell and bassist Jeff Abercrombie, spent more than two years writing "Angels and Devils," according to a press release. The album is the band's first full-length studio effort since 2003's "Natural Selection," which featured the hit "Fall on Me."
The new set reached No. 42 on The Billboard 200 and has spawned mainstream rock hit "Wasted Time," as well as current single "Gone," both of which are streaming at Fuel's MySpace page.
The band has sold more than 3.5 million albums in the US since bursting onto the scene with its 1998 debut album, "Sunburn," according to Fuel's bio. The group has scored a trio of Top 5 hits--"Shimmer," "Innocent" and "Hemorrhage"--the latter of which remained at No. 1 for 12 weeks.
