Tour dates follow, according to Ticketek Australia:

12/01 - Hordern Pavilion, Sydney
12/02 - Regent Theatre, Melbourne
12/06 - Adelaide Entertainment Centre

whats wrong with petrucci? he is superior to all of those other guys.. though i admit that all of them rock. "same old boring faces"? are you insane? steve vai, joe satriani, and any other awesome guitarist? how can that not be appreciated?
petrucci wrote suspended animation because he was invited to do the G3 with satch and vai. he needed material to play! haha thats ownage. suspended animation is great, though i like DT more.

buckethead is great... herman li is really good, but too cocky.. he doesnt have the right attitude--although, i wouldnt be surprised to see him do it. shit, they had yngwie malmsteen, right? they will get around to other guitarists... so far theyve chosen pretty unique guitarists though. herman li isnt really unique, just fast. they already did "just fast" with yngwie. =/POSTED: 10/02/2006 - 02:58 pm / quote |

**** yea, me too! this is my fav. g3 lineup so far... in fact, i dont think there could be a better g3 lineup. come to the states guys... at least California... i mean youre only doin a handful of shows in teh australia.. youll have time! =P

yea me too! eric johnson is friggin awesome (ah via musicom is just incredible)... but i saw him when he was touring with satch (they did a mini g3 then too, in fact. vai was missing though *cries*)... and i never thought id say this but it was horrible... the bass overpowered EVERYTHING... hope he fired his sound guy cuz i really wanted to hear johnson play... i did hear him a few times when the bass was quiet and he was awesome... lol... he kept screwing up on the intro to Cliffs of Dover, and he would pretend to be randomly soloing instead, lol. it made me laugh... im sure that part woulda been awesome had the bass been controlled..... but then again it only made satch sound 100000% than he already is. satch's performance was flawless.POSTED: 10/02/2006 - 07:28 pm / quote |
SurfinWithSatch
: There is quite a simple reason for it being Satch Vai and Petrucci more than anyone else, for a start, satch and vai are gonna always do it together coz of being best mates, and the reason the keep choosing john is because he isnt egotistic like a lot of the guitarists mentioned above, thats why they havent asked buckethead or herman li, or called yngwie back to do another G3, too full of themselves.....although it would be good to have eric johnson come back to the line up again, or even have him join the other 3, that would be a show!!!(^^,)POSTED: 10/02/2006 - 07:54 pm / quote |
