The virtuous guitarist Joe Satriani, along with not less excellent guitarists John Petrucci (Dream Theater) and Eric Johnson, will lead on Monday, the 23rd and Tuesday, the 24th of the current month, a new edition of the Latin-American tour "G3" in the stadium Moon Park of the Federal Capital. This piece of news turns (the tenth one from his beginnings), Monday, the 16th will begin with a concert in the city of Mexico then to continue for Chile, Argentina and Brazil.
Every show will show a finished set of each of three phenomena guitarists with the culmination of undermined legendary of G3, one performance of skills in guitar and mastery, helped by the battery of Mike Portnoy of the band Dream Theater.
G3 2006 marks the tenth anniversary of the tour G3 original US with presentations of Satriani, Steve Vai and Eric Johnson.
The inaugural tour was recorded and thrown in CD and DVD in alive and they took part of the tours along with Satriani (present in all), guitarists of the height of Robert Fripp, Yngwie Malmsteen, Kenny Wayne Sheperd and Michael Schenker. John Petrucci is one of the founders and the principal guitarist of the group Dream Theater. His last album soloist is "Astonish Animation" and this will be the third tour as part of G3 and his firstly demonstration soloist in Latin America.
On his part Eric Johnson, Austin's native, Texas, began his career sharing the stage with Stevie Ray Vaughan. His album "Ah Route Musicom" dedicated and threw it to the commercial map and gained his first Grammy for Better Instrumental Performance of Rock.
G3 2006 marks the second appearance of Johnson with G3 offering his legendary style for the first time to Latin America.
