According to MTV Spain, Guns N' Roses have been confirmed for the Kobetasonik festival, set to take place June 19-20 in Bilbao, Spain.

The festival billing is now as follows:

The last time Guns N' Roses played in Spain was in 2006 at the Bilbao Live Festival.

Guns N' Roses' new album, "Chinese Democracy", was officially certified platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) on February 3, 2009 for shipments in the United States in excess of one million copies. According to Nielsen SoundScan, the CD has shifted 554,000 units since it was released on November 23, 2008 as a Best Buy exclusive after a wait of more than 15 years.

Aside from a Billboard interview and answering a number of fan questions at a Guns N' Roses message board, Axl Rose has done no promotion of any kind for "Chinese Democracy".

dude to break it to you but axl is kinda a modern day composer of sorts, i know his actions are insane but i think that adds to the complexity and mystery of the dude. i honestly think people in next few decades or years will look back at axl and wonder how he acheived such genius. i mean remember galileo and da vinci werent at first appreciated, but i'lll be the first to admit thats a very long stretch, but still there all geniuses

oh and gnr, anthrax, dream theater all on the same bill, throw in megadeth or tool and im in, i'll take a sail boat to spain

in a way i agree, but even the greatest composers have some works that aren't good (back in their historical period's standard as well as today). The "genius" of Axl ends when his collaborattion with Slash ended. but that doesnt mean axl's new GNR stuff is terrible. Like when you take mozart's operas. His greatest achievements were with the librettist Da Ponte (Wedding of Figaro, Cosi fan tutte, etc). He wrote other operas that were good, but not as superb

and lets not forget that its popular music we are talking about. artistically, tchaikovsky will always have more merit in my mind than axl, hence the rushmore / dootie comparison
