GN'R To Tour In Late March

Guns N' Roses guitarist Richard Fortus has told TheTelegraph.com that the band's world tour in support of "Chinese Democracy" should start late March and will likely last at least two years.

Fortus will take part in a one-night-only reunion of Pale Divine, a.k.a. The Eyes, a mega-popular St. Louis, Missouri alt-rock act that broke through nationally in the early '90s. The original four members — vocalist Michael Schaerer, Fortus, bass player Dan Angenend Jr. and drummer Greg Miller — will take the stage at The Pageant in St. Louis at 8 p.m. Monday, Dec. 29, after not playing together for 17 years.

Guns N' Roses' new album, "Chinese Democracy", sold 56,000 copies in the United States in its fourth week of release to land at position No. 33 on The Billboard 200 chart. The CD has shifted 421,000 units since it was released on November 23 as a Best Buy exclusive after a wait of more than 15 years.

Kevin Cogill, who was arrested in August for allegedly leaking nine tracks from the then-unreleased "Chinese Democracy" album online through his blog, pleaded guilty violating federal copyright laws in a Los Angeles court on December 15. According to the Associated Press, Cogill's plea deal requires him to cooperate with investigators and may lead to a sentence of up to a year in federal prison, probation and a large fine.

This article is wrong. Richard released a statement just the other day saying that he was misquoted and that he never said that GNR would tour in March. Axl Rose also recently said in a posting that talks about a tour are in their early stages and that absolutely nothing is set.

I believe Fortus responded that what he said was taken out of context and that he doesn't know if they are starting a tour in March or if it will last 2 years. I can't remember where I read this, but I do hope they start touring soon. Seeing them in 2002 wasn't much of an experience, but seeing them in 2006 was a completely different story and amazing.

ill go if the tickets are decently priced. i didn't like the new album, but if it comes anywhere near me id still probably go. if i have to pay 100 dollars for tickets though then i refuse. I would never give axl more than 25 bucks for a ticket, seeing its not the original band.

I saw the GNR 07 tour, i was amazed at how good the show was seems how they are unpredictable. Dizzy Reed did a piano solo, it was amazing. And the three guitarists did a solo each.

When I saw them in '06 they charged £37.50 so with booking fee's etc it came to around £45 total for one ticket.
