Alt-rockers the Goo Goo Dolls
have extended their spring headlining trip in support of the forthcoming studio album "Something For The Rest Of Us
The outing, which launches April 6 in Augusta, GA, now runs through a May 16 date in Peoria, IL, with additional shows to follow that will extend the trip through mid-June, according to the band's publicist. Currently confirmed dates are shown at this location

"Something For The Rest Of Us
," the band's ninth album and first since 2006's gold-selling "Let Love In
," is due in stores later this spring. The group recorded the new studio effort in its hometown of Buffalo, NY, and in Los Angeles. Producers Tim Palmer
(U2, Switchfoot) and Rob Cavallo
(Green Day, Paramore) both were brought in to assist on the sessions, along with mixer Mike
(Radiohead, Dave Matthews Band).
"Originally, we were going to put it out in the fall and we decided to put it out in the spring instead,
" bassist Robby Takac
told Billboard.com in December, "so we had a little bit of time to listen through. I think it really led us to be pretty hyper-critical about what's on the record. There's a few things we want to tend to, so I think we're gonna get a great result.
"Let Love In
" peaked at No. 9 on The Billboard 200 in 2006, with lead single "Better Days
" reaching No. 3 on the singles charts.
