Guns N' Roses Joined By Rose Tattoo

The Guns N' Roses 2007 trek through Australia ended on a very high note with two sold-out shows in Sydney at the Acer Arena this past weekend.

Over 10,000 fans attended each concert, and as an added bonus, at each show GN'R performed the Rose Tattoo classic "Nice Boys (Don't Play Rock N' Roll)" with none other than Angry Anderson.

With Axl Rose and Angry trading off verses and singing the choruses together, it was truly a magical jam with scorching sonic energy coming off the stage the proverbial icing on the cake for an amazing series of concerts. To celebrate, GN'R threw an after-party at a Sydney night club called Ruby Rabbit that did not end until long after the sun came up.

The next stop on the tour is Auckland, New Zealand, with two shows Friday, June 29, and Saturday, June 30 at the Vector Arena. Guns N' Roses have one last performance Down Under on July 3 in Christchurch, New Zealand, before heading to Japan.

I was at the show in Adelaide, and it was awesome! I don't care what anyone says...GnR DOES NOT NEED SLASH!! Bumblefoot and Finck more than step up to the plate. The haters can say all they want but no one who has heard the new band live or any new material has been able to fault them. And I could see in Axl's eyes that he really wanted to be there. Unlike the Slayer show two months earlier he actually gave a shit about the people of Adelaide! That is more genuine than most rock stars today.

I for one will buy Chinese Democracy as soon as it is released.

whats the word on chinese democracy last I heard its was in the mixing stages in march 2007, axl always says its going to be released that year and it never does. i can't believe people are still following this album its been 8 years already and still no chinese democracy this sounds like a publicity stunt if you ask me.

The new band is better than the old, I like the news songs more. Slash is great, but I hate people who won't give the new guys a chance only because they don't wear a top hat. Richard Fortus and Ron Thal are awesome and Axl has still got the voice.

Gnr is a joke, they have the same old songs plus some songs which are just parodies of old Gnr. Ron Thal is a great guitarist but its obvious he's doing this only for the money, the same goes for the bassist. Cmon their setlist is so predictable. Velvet Revolver may be not have shows as big, but they are five good musicians playing their own music plus some covers, Axl Rose is still caught up in his ego and thinks this is still the 90s.....

If he's still "caught in the 90s" then why do they play a lot of new material? They play 4-5 new songs a night on tour.

Agreed, but they are getting sold out shows by using the name aren't they. So it's a whole easier to carry on with a legendary name such as Guns N' Roses rather than start over with a name like Velvet Revolver.

All those except Oh My God.
Maybe at the time they hinted that Oh My God would be on the next album, but i'm pretty sure they have since confirmed it won't be.

Oh My God is the only song of those so far that is a legitimate release (and also the only song the 'new' GnR has released officially yet). It was on the 'End of Days' soundtrack (1999).

i was at the gunners concert on saturday night in sydney, it was the best rock n roll concert i have ever been to, i am 45 and was in the mosh pit, and experience i will never forget, axls voice was better then ever, and as far as im concerned he is still the spunkiest man alive. i got some great videos and pictures of axl, can't wait till he comes out again. hey 1st of all slash is an amazing guitarist due to the simplicity of the harmonic and blues scales
2 ive seen the new Guns N' Roses (actual spelling you are all stupid its on every album cover) and although all of the guitarists are spectacular they arnt as good as slash

I considered going to one of the concerts, actually got a few offers too. Found it hard to justify spending that much money on, what is essentially, a cover band. But i'm glad to hear it was a good show. Axl has definately surrounded himself with some quality musicians.

Also, i went to the Melbourne concert, and i thought it was brilliant! I didn't really like the new songs, they didn't have the same energy or catchy tunes, but hey, if you like them that's good for you.

I don't really keep up with Guns N' Roses, but I was annoyed when I heard that the new guitarist wears a top hat and holds his guitar upright for solos, just like Slash, in other words copying him! I'm all for Axl Rose keeping the band going, but allowing his guitarist to copy Slash's stage moves is just out of order. Slash should copyright his onstage antics or something.

the blues (only recently was uncovered)
madagascar (only recently uncovered)
chinese democracy (Only recently uncovered -ROCKS!!!)
there was a time (a few of these have surfaced pretty much same versions - recently better quality one came out)
better (as above - and this and Chinese Democracy rock the most)
I.R.S - few sources have leaked. recently a better quality version.
Catcher in the rye - came out last year.. not many know about this - except most looking on the good gnr forums.

thats all i know of..by the sounds of it, and what ive heard, the album will rock - when it comes out.

Btw, went to the last melb show 16th, and both Acer Arena shows 23rd, n 24th.. and wow.. best shows in my life .. period.. particularly the 24th.. acoustics and vocals were best on that night, plus i got backstage passes n met ron,frank, dizzy, n robin.. no axl im afraid..n damn..he was at ruby rabbits on oxford st... i missed out..
