Guns N' Roses Set For Intimate Venue Tour

The big news that Guns N' Roses' bassist Tommy Stinson hinted at last week has been revealed and it involves the band playing some intimate venues in the United States. The news comes as dates for a European tour have leaked out.

While the band has yet to confirm the European tour, early this morning we received official word that Guns N' Roses will invade New York during fashion week with a series of intimate shows followed with additional stops through the northeast.

Six shows confirmed so far including the historic return to The Ritz (now Webster Hall), 24 years after the filming of their "Live At The Ritz" – the MTV concert continues to be one of the most sought after trades in bootleg circles, according to the announcement.

For the Webster Hall date, GN'R will celebrate their return by reclaiming the venue as The Ritz with signage and the name appearing on the marquee. The New York takeover in February marks the first time the band will appear at Roseland and Terminal 5, beginning on February 10, 2012.

It appears that Guns N' Roses are also putting together a European tour with various dates across the continent trickling out for their first trek there since 2010.

Pollstar reports that the dates are coming from Ticketmaster and a French promoter with not an official peep from the Guns N' Roses camp.

The leaked dates take place in May and June with the first date taking place at the 02 Arena in Dublin, Ireland on May 17th. That is followed by a string of dates in France in June and an appearance at the Gods Of Metal festival in Milan on June 22nd.

I would go, if I could afford it.
I couldn't afford the trip, and those prices are sure to be a little higher.

Hell, I couldn't afford the show I did go to in Nashville, but I'm glad I went anyway. It was probably the best show I've ever been to.

After the reaction to the last album (and sales of it) would you do that? Also after the time it took to make the last album (and again the sales) its probably really hard for them to get an album off the ground.

The reaction = "no slash, no good".. People didnt even give it a chance/even listen to it- just because some top hated sellout wasnt playing the same solo he's been playin for the past 15 years..

I personally loved Chinese Democracy, (it did sell 5 million which is pretty damn good) so it would be great to hear what else Axl has got up his sleeve..
