Iron Maiden To Perform With Ozzy

According to Muziekagenda.nl, Iron Maiden and Ozzy Osbourne will perform at the Fields of Rock festival, which is scheduled to take place June 16-17 in Biddinghuizen, Netherlands.

An official confirmation is expected to arrive soon.

In other Maiden-related news, DNAIndia.com reports that Bruce Dickinson and company will play at least one show (Bangalore) in India later this year.

A "battle of the bands" has been launched to give one local act an opportunity to open the concert, which is being organized by Venkat Vardhan of DNA Networks.

Iron Maiden's new album, "A Matter Of Life And Death", has sold almost 160,000 copies in the United States since its Sept. 5 release, according to Nielsen SoundScan.

except that Ozzy was always successful because of the band behind him (the guys from Black Sabbath, Randy Rhoads, Zakk Wylde, Jake E. Lee) If Ozzy had crap guitarists his solo act would be a joke. Maiden on the other hand is a great band as a whole unit.

I think people have misinterpreted what the article is saying! All it is saying is Ozzy is headlining one day, and Iron Maiden the other! They wont be on stage with each other or anything, the title just suggests that to get our attention!
