The reunited Jane’s Addiction have canceled all their upcoming Australian tour dates as drummer Stephen Perkins requires treatment for an elbow infection, the band revealed. After experiencing swelling in his elbow following Jane’s European tour, Perkins has been admitted to Los Angeles’s Cedars-Sinai Hospital for the next few days so doctors can observe and diagnose the drummer while also administering antibiotic treatment. Perkins is expected to make a full recovery, but the band’s trek down under had to be called off.
The six-concert Australian run was scheduled to begin July 25th in Byron Bay and conclude with an August 1st show in Perth. "
I know how excited we were to come play in Australia, and how long the fans there have waited for this. I want everyone Down Under to know that we will come back as soon as we can," singer
Perry Farrell said in a statement.
Jane’s Addiction's last remaining reunion tour date is their August 7th headlining gig at Farrell's own Lollapalooza.
