Jane's Addiction To Reunite For Tour

The Pulse of Radio reports that a full-blown Jane's Addiction reunion tour the third in just over a decade is in the works for later this year, according to HardDrive Radio.

There's no word yet on who will be in the band lineup or when exactly the trek will start, but the news follows on the heels of two low-key club gigs the group did in Los Angeles this past October and November. Those were the original band's first full concerts together in well over 15 years. The group, including founding bassist Eric Avery, first reunited for a four-song set at the NME Awards USA last April.

The band has reunited twice before, in 1997 and 2001, but without Avery. Red Hot Chili Peppers bassist Flea, Chris Chaney and Martyn LeNoble all took turns in the lineup.

Singer Perry Farrell has dismissed the possibility of another comeback over the last couple of years, saying in a recent interview that there was as much likelihood of a full-blown reunion "as there being commercial space flights."

They're a great band. I hope they rock the socks off of everyone, especially those who feel that they're 'overrated'. as Mr. Glavin said, they're underrated if anything. When was the last time you heard people walking around talking about jane's addiction? or how awesome it would be to see them live? i barely ever hear anything about them, so it'll be nice to see them back on stage again. especially with all of the crap music that has been coming out lately. (not naming any band names)

Nuno Bettingcourt is a monster, and having the Dust Brothers program rhythm tracks was awesome.
