Journey has announced a 23-date summer tour kicking off on July 16 at the Moondance Jam in Walker, Minnesota and running through September 4 in Atlantic City, New Jersey and the Borgata Hotel and Casino.
The band is now fronted by Arnel Pineda on lead vocals. Guitarist Neal Schon discovered the Filipino frontman on YouTube performing the group's song "Faithfully" with his own cover band. In addition to Pineda — who sounds eerily like former frontman Steve Perry — Journey now includes Schon, Jonathan Cain on keyboards, Ross Valory on bass, and Deen Castronovo on drums.

Well, this guy is like right out of a Charles Dickens story," he says. "
I mean, he's got an amazing tale to tell, and it's almost hard to believe he survived what he survived, y'know? So you gotta look at that and go, 'How tough is this guy?' He's as tough as they come, and I liked everything about him. (The) first week I spent with him I immediately liked him, and took him to task and told him things I though he needed to work on, certainly. But getting him out of the club was the main deal. We had to just get him to stop singing everybody else's music, y'know?"
