Kaiser Chiefs have announced dates for a European tour in 2006 and revealed the reason behind the cancellation of their recent Spanish shows.
Speaking in Australia where the band are touring, drummer Nick Hodgson told NME.com that a member of their touring party contracted Hepatitis A, a virus of the liver -- leading to the Kaisers having to return to the UK.
"Someone on our bus got it and we all had to go home and get innoculated," he said. "So even if one of us had got it the rest of us wouldn't have gotten ill. We weren't in quarantine, though!"
To make it up to Spanish fans, the band will kick off their 2006 European dates in Barcelona before stops in France, Holland, Switzerland, Germany, Denmark and Norway.
Kaiser Chiefs are currently on their last full tour of the year in Australia, where they've supporting ongoing tour buddies Foo Fighters, as well as playing their own sold-out show in Sydney last Tuesday (November 29).
