British rockers Kasabian jump across the pond this fall for a month-long tour on the US club and theater circuit that will back the group's forthcoming sophomore album, "Empire."
The run launches September 17 in Boston, and is scheduled to touch down in 15 cities by the time it wraps up on the West Coast exactly one month later, according to liveDaily.com.
Scheduled for a September 19 release, "Empire" is Kasabian's follow-up to their critically acclaimed 2004 self-titled debut. The group recorded the new set with producer Jim Abiss (Arctic Monkeys, Placebo, Paul Oakenfold), and finished the bulk of the disc during a five-week period, according to a press release.
The first single from "Empire" is the album's title track. Band frontman Tom Meighan describes the cut as "Marc Bolan smoking crack with Dr Who," according to a press release.
To help launch "Empire," Kasabian will make a Sept. 14 appearance on "The Late Show With David Letterman."
