Kings of Leon, Vampire Weekend and Paramore to Play on iTunes Festival 2013
American bands Kings of Leon and Paramore were added to the iTunes Festival 2013 lineup. They've joined QOTSA, Thirty Seconds to Mars, Primal Scream and Phoenix announced earlier this month. British act Vampire Weekend and Icelandic post rock/shoegaze band Sigur Ros were also announced as the performers at this year's festival. The event will take place from September 1 till September 30 at the Roundhouse in Camden, London, UK. Sigur Ros will play at September 2, Paramore will hit the stage two days later (September 4). Kings of Leon's show is scheduled for September 11, Vamprie Weekend will perform at September 15. The current line-up for iTunes festival is as follows: 09/02 - Sigur Ros 09/04 - Paramore 09/05 - Rizzle Kicks (British hip-hop duo) 09/06 - Queens of the Stone Age 09/07 - Phoenix 09/11 - Kings of Leon 09/15 - Vampire Weekend 09/16 - Jack Johnson + Bahamas (Afie Jurvanen, Canadian musician) 09/17 - Ludovico Einaudi (Italian pianist) 09/18 - Thirty Seconds to Mars 09/20 - Primal Scream 09/23 - Jessie J 09/29 - Justin Timberlake All the perfromances will be webcasted via iTunes. The first iTunes Festival took place at London's Institute of Contemporary Arts in 2007, and featured performers including Paul McCartney and Amy Winehouse. Since then, the annual event has had shows from artists including Biffy Clyro, Coldplay, Foo Fighters, Jack White, Linkin Park, Muse and Oasis.
