Leonard Cohen is set to return to the live stage in the US with his first show here in 15 years, scheduled for next month.
The singer will perform at the newly refurbished Beacon Theatre in New York City on February 19, when he returns from a world tour.
According to Reuters, the 74-year-old Canadian was forced to tour again after his business manager and lover Kelley Lynch misappropriated more than $5 million of his money.
Cohen was reportedly left with just $150,000, and despite the fact that a court awarded him a $9 million civil judgment, he has not been able to procure the money from
Lynch.
He had quit touring in the early 1990s to become a Buddhist monk.
Tickets for the show will go on sale on Friday (January 16).
Thanks for the report to Nme.com.
I never thought it could be that good, especially given his age, but it was one of the best nights of my life (and I've seen a lot of shows)
