Lostprophets head back to the States later this month for a series of headlining dates that precede the band's stint on HIM's fall tour.
An August 30 kick-off is in place for Lostprophets' outing, and roughly a dozen dates are scattered through mid-October. The group will then link up with HIM from October 18 through Halloween.
Lostprophets -- frontman
Ian Watkins, guitarists
Mike Lewis and
Lee Gaze, bassist
Stuart Richardson and keyboardist
Jamie Oliver -- are working the road behind their third album, "Liberation Transmission," which surfaced in late June and debuted at No. 33 on The Billboard 200 chart. The set features the cut "Rooftops (A Liberation Broadcast)," which was a Top 10 hit in the UK, and has grabbed traction on US stations.
"Liberation Transmission," which is Lostprophets' first album since 2004's gold-certified "Start Something," was produced by Bob Rock (Metallica). The band recruited Josh Freese (A Perfect Circle, The Vandals, NIN) to lay down drum tracks for the set after the departure of original member Mike Chiplin. Ex-Denver Harbor member Ilan Rubin has since taken over as the group's touring drummer.
