Morrissey Walks Off Stage After Being Hit By Object

artist: morrissey date: 11/09/2009 category: upcoming tours
rating: 0 / votes: 0

Despite just resuming his tour, Morrissey quickly stalled it after walking off stage during a show in Liverpool, England. After a fan had thrown a drink at the musician's head, the singer said "goodbye" and made his exit during the middle of his second song.

Morrissey started the Liverpool Echo Arena gig with The Smiths' "This Charming Man" and was performing "Black Cloud" when the incident happened. There are several eye witness reports but none claim whether the singer was struck by a plastic cup or a bottle. The show stopped immediately after the incident and after the crowd chanted for quite sometime, a crew member announced on stage the show would not continue.

Morrissey's next scheduled stop is Holland and there is no indication whether the show is cancelled. The past month has been very eventful for the singer as he collapsed on-stage on October 25th and had to postpone the concert scheduled for the following night.

Because of the situation, the audience in Liverpool were told they would receive a full refund for the show.
