: Haha, I saw the first show last night, and it wasent in Saint John's (which is actually St.John's BTW), it was in Bay Roberts. Fukking wicked show, with State of Shock, Buck Cherry, Staind, Finger Eleven, Default...and Hedly but to hell with them. The Nickelback set in one word: Pyro. Lots of freakin pyro. 14 songs; 3 from Silver Side Up, 4 from The Long Road, and 7 from All The Right Reasons. Massive drum solo, T-shirt cannons, and throwing beer to the audience, the was nothing better, EVER.POSTED: 06/29/2007 - 11:26 am / quote |

But judging by how music is bascicly over now(I say over because all bands around arn't even worth being called bands)Nickelback is Ok.POSTED: 06/29/2007 - 01:15 pm / quote |

I agree they need to do something differnent all of their song sound exactly the same and are completely interchangable. They do, however, Tour with really good bands Like Chevelle and Breaking Benjamin so I saw them twice on this tour. POSTED: 06/29/2007 - 07:38 pm / quote |

: How can anybody continue to support this band? As somebody else said, they found the magic formula for making songs that make money and deliberately stick to it. It's fairly apparent that they are only in it for the money.
And don't tell me it isn't deliberate...far too many of their songs sound far too close. Listen to 'Someday' and 'How You Remind Me' after each other, or at the same time if possible, and you'll see what I mean. POSTED: 06/30/2007 - 04:19 am / quote |

No, they don't have the same chord progressions. "How you remind me is" C-F-Bb-Eb, "Someday" is Bm-G-D-A. If you don't like them, don't listen to them. Like Butthead said, AC/DC found a formula about 35 years ago and hasn't strayed from it, yet they are called legends. Nickelback does the same thing and they are called sell-outs. Someone please tell me how that works.POSTED: 07/01/2007 - 02:34 am / quote |

oh **** you. i'm assuming you've got a guitar, so where's your record deal, 15 million albums sold and all the cash and chicks you can handle? i'd say Chad and the boys have done something right to get this far. i don't really like their singles; though, i think they need to put out some of their heavier songs. their shows are mostly the heavier songs, so if the singles are all the poppier stuff then it might attract the wrong croud. either way, they are one of my favourite bands and i have seen them before and will see them in Saskatoon on August 7thPOSTED: 07/02/2007 - 03:17 am / quote |

: I never used to like Nickelback as a group, well not that much anyhow. I kind of liked how you remind me, but it started to grate on me after a while.
Then my sister gave me nickelback tickets as an extra birthday present. She was going to go with a friend but neither of them could make it due to work commitments.
The concert is what made me a fan. Amazing stage show, really energetic, loads of pyrotechnics, and Chad had real stage presence. I definitely do not think their videos do them justice. They may be very mainstream and not to every bodies taste but they are great performers and Chad really knows how to work the stage.
I hope they do another uk tour soon as I would really like to catch them play live again. It's an enjoyable experience for surePOSTED: 09/29/2007 - 03:07 pm / quote |
