Owl City Plots Spring US Tour

Owl City will hit the road early next spring as the band - led by musical prodigy Adam Young - continues to support this summer's "Ocean Eyes."

Young and company will launch the outing March 30 in Boise, ID, and will travel to 24 cities on the road trip, which winds down May 2 in Milwaukee, WI.

The road trip supports "Ocean Eyes," Young's sophomore effort, which surfaced in July. The new record follows his full-length debut, last year's "Maybe I'm Dreaming." The set peaked at No. 27 on The Billboard 200, with the single "Fireflies," hitting No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and selling more than two million copies in the US.

Several tracks from the new album are currently streaming at Young's MySpace page.

Earlier this month the group was shortlisted as one of 15 acts included on the BBC's Sound of 2010, which highlights "rising music stars," according to the British media agency.

There's numerous songs with guitar. People just immediately assume that because one song they hear on the radio is synth-only, the rest is that way too. Seriously people's ignorance sometimes...

"The Saltwater Room", "The Bird And The Worm", "Tidal Wave", "Sunburn", "Hot Air Balloon" just to name a few that feature guitars. And the guitar is even the dominant instrument in a few of them. So quit your dumb "why is this on UG if they don't use guitars?" comments.

And to be on topic, myself...I'm actually quite excited for this tour as well. Gotta travel all the way to the other side of my state (Michigan) to see them (or rather, him), but nonetheless, I will definitely be trying to go.

Owl City is awesome. And hate comments are what YouTube is for. So please quit complaining.
I wish I could have seen his concert, and LIGHTS is touring with him and she's amazing too! She's basically the female Owl City with a keytar ^_^
