Pearl Jam has booked a pair of headlining dates this summer to warm up for the two festival appearances the band has lined up for later in the year.
The grunge-rock veterans will appear Aug. 21 in Toronto and Aug. 23 in Chicago, followed by the band's headlining appearance at the Aug. 28-30 Outside Lands Festival in San Francisco. Later in the year, the group tackles an Oct. 4 slot at Austin, TX's Austin City Limits Festival, with Pearl Jam serving as co-headliners along with Dave Matthews Band and Beastie Boys.

Additionally, singer Eddie Vedder kicks off his latest solo tour June 8 in Albany, NY. Vedder will hit eight cities on the outing in June and early July.
In March, the Pearl Jam issued a shiny new version of its breakthrough 1991 debut album, "Ten." The initial volley in a campaign to re-release all of the group's studio albums by Pearl Jam's 20th anniversary in 2011, the revamped "Ten" includes the original version of the album, plus a new remix of the set done by the band's long-time producer, Brendan O'Brien, who has produced a number of the group's post-debut recordings.
