Pearl Jam, Nine Inch Nails to Headline Voodoo Music Festival
Pearl Jam have announced that they will be headlining this year's Voodoo Music Festival alongside the reunited Nine Inch Nails. Set to take place between November 1st and 3rd at City Park in New Orleans, this year's festival marks the 15th anniversary of the event. Other acts confirmed for the festival include: Paramore, Afrojack, The Gaslight Anthem, How To Destroy Angels, Alkaline Trio and Robert Delong. The festival appearance is the third tour date that Pearl Jam has scheduled for this year. The band is currently working on their latest album, which is scheduled for a late 2013 release. Guitarist Mike McCready recently noted that the band's latest album will encompass a variety of different influences including Pink Floyd and U2. "Matt [Cameron, drummer] wrote a really cool one that's kind of ethereal meets U2ness, I wrote kind of a punk rock one and a Pink Floyd thing, so there's all these kinds of things going on. Ed [Vedder, vocals] has written some beautiful numbers, some kind of garagy type stuff and then also some beautiful lyrical kind of things. We'll put all of those things in the Pearl Jam thing, and hit mix, and mix it up."
