Pearl Jam Plot Summer Tour

Pearl Jam have announced the second leg of their American tour with Tom Petty And The Heartbreakers joining them for four of the shows, reports Undercover Music News.

Following the June 3 close of the first leg of Pearl Jam's North American tour, the band will return to the road June 23 in Pittsburgh. Fourteen dates are set for the second leg through a July 22 show at the Gorge Amphitheatre in George, Wash., with more to be expected. Petty will perform with Pearl Jam on June 26 and 27 at St Paul in Minnesota and July 2 and 3 in Denver, Colorado. From July 6, Sonic Youth will see out the rest of the tour from Las Vegas to San Francisco.

In other news, Pearl Jam will be the musical guests when Lindsay Lohan hosts NBC's "Saturday Night Live" on April 15.

It will be Lohan's third hosting stint -- and a rare TV appearance for Pearl Jam. The Seattle rock band, which earned fame and critical acclaim during the Northwest's early '90s grunge movement, will perform songs from their new self-titled album, slated for release May 2.

I found out because i'm a member of the TenClub. You wouldn't be able to go to Astoria anyway, unless you're a member of the TenClub and was one of the first 50 callers. Astoria is a secret gig. I submitted it in the UG news section but it was declined, for reason unknown. Otherwise you would have known before.

Im going to the june 1st show, my buddy is going to the june 3rd show.

HOWEVER, there are shows a couple days afterwards in L.A... whoever wrote this news segment obviously hasnt checked the pearl jam website in a while.

If they still treat it like the end of a tourleg, ill be happy as hell. Those last two setlists on the legs are typically very good.

Pearl Jam puts on a great live show. My first concert I saw was at the Target Center in Minneapolis back during the Yield tour. I really hope this album is more like their earlier stuff.
