Pink Floyd's Roger Waters To Join Bon Jovi At Live Earth India

The line-up for the forthcoming Live Earth concert, set to take place in Mumbai, India on December 7, has been expanded to include Pink Floyd's Roger Waters.

Waters will be joined by Bon Jovi, Black Eyed Peas' will.i.am plus Bollywood star Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, reports Daily Mirror.

Money raised through the bash will go to the Climate Project India charity, plus the Light a Billion Lives campaign, which aims to provide solar power to rural Indian homes that don't have electricity.

Last year Live Earth gigs took place in cities all over the world, but the bash in India will be the only Live Earth show of 2008.

That's just not true, they got popular because of Richie's amazing guitar work (which really turned heads when a 20 year old started shredding back in 1985) and because of 'Runaway' which was excellently written and displayed a great vocal performance, but it definately didn't hurt their popularity that they are good looking.

mepmep, dude maybe it used to be the other way around, but since their one off reunion roger was much more for the reunion than gilmour. Gilmour said he didnt plan to reunite with Floyd again, and said hes now more interested in playing his solo stuff. So yeah that guy was kinda right. And i dont think that roger is actually playing with bon jovi, their not really the same style at all, their just on the same bill.

Yet another misleading title from UG. Bon Jovi (as in the band) and Roger Waters (as in the musician) will not be collaborating for Live Earth, they will simply be playing at the same event.

I think I've seen this said already, but just in case anyone isn't clear on it:

A reunion of Pink Floyd is no longer being hindered by Roger Waters. Roger may have been a major prick back in the day, but it is Gilmour who has absolutely zero interest working with Waters again.

As for "playing with" Bon Jovi... uh... appearing on the same bill doesn't mean you're "playing together".

Richie Sambora is one of the most underrated guitarists in the world (underrated as in the fame to credit ratio). He can play anything, and is a damn good singer and songwriter on top of that. Bon Jovi haters need to hear the albums and not just whatever two songs they've heard on the radio. Listen to These Days and Keep the Faith, those records are masterpieces.

I know they get more chicks than you but that's your problem, don't take it out on them.

Gilmour and Waters are not fighting. They have both made it clear they are at peace. More proof is on David's Remember That Night DVD. It shows him talking with Roger, and Roger even saying he'd try to make one of Gilmour's shows, as well as kissing Gilmour's wife on the cheek!

Gilmour said no to a tour, and no to an album. However, he said the door is still open for another one off thing, or a track or something. He just didn't want to tour or do an album. My sources? Gilmour's and Roger's own mouths. Also, Gilmour knew Rick wanted to do a show like Glastonbury, and if he didn't have cancer I bet Pink Floyd as a Trio if not WITH Roger would have done it.
