Rise Against To Tour With Bad Religion

Chicago punk rock group Rise Against have announced via their official website that they will embark on a nationwide headlining US tour with a very special guest. Punk rock legends Bad Religion will be supporting Rise Against throughout their cross-country trek.

Wait, this can't be right, Bad Religion playing under a band that they've been around over three times longer than? Yes, it's true. According to Rise Against, "We can't really believe it either, but we will be headlining a US tour this spring with the legendary Bad Religion. Best.Tour.Ever."

The tour will be in support of Rise Against's new album titled "Endgame", which is set to be released on March 15th. The first single, "Help Is On The Way", was released on January 25th and can be heard here. The song, acording to singer Tim McIlrath, deals with the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina and the BP oil spill.

Bad Religion also recently released their latest album, "The Dissent of Man" in September of last year. This tour will also give them the opportunity to promote their new album.

Joining the two punk rock giants are Massachusetts-based pop-punk outfit Four Year Strong, who released their third studio album "Enemy of the World" in March of last year.

well certain bands have us tours incorporate Toronto some times. but this new cd im not looking forward to.. RA are so bloody repetitive i feel like im listening to the same song in every track. I have all their cds , but they need to change it up a bit instead of using the same chords. Same with Bad Religion. I was dissapointed in their new cd. I would go to see FYS they kick ass. RA have had lots of legendary bands open for them. I saw them at the Molson Amplitheater and Rancid opened for them which shouldnt have happend because Rancid is way better than RA.

Four Year Strong and Bad Religion are awesome. I recently saw FYS at the Masquerade and BR was playing up stairs in Heaven and FYS likewise in Hell. Awesome night but it will be even more awesome when I see them together.

not a fan of four year strong, i dont like thier music and ive seen them live, and it was terrible...is it me or is all of thier fanbase 19 years old and below? im not trying to hate im just saying the only other band ive seen with younger fans is bmth...and sorry for going off topic, love bad religon soooo much great band, rise against...meh? thier music is good but again the live show is lacking quality for me, saw them at roo last year and they started with so much energy and i was pumped and then 2 or 3 songs in it just got boring, ive seen them 3 times and every time i see them the same thing happens they just start sounding like a generic punk band with nothing unique about thier shows, dont get me wrong i like them but the headlining spot should be switched and four year strong shouldnt be on the tour because all the high school kids/young bucks arent going to appreciate the next band playing which will be the legendary punk icons...bad religon.

i think his wife/girlfriend had a kid, and he wanted to spend more time with them, so he left. apparently on pretty good terms.

I agree with you, but I highly doubt anyone there will be fys fans who go to the shows for them and just happen to see bad religion and rise against. Rise against is headlining, which is going to draw the greater amount of fans. And as for high school kids not appreciating bad religion, never doubt the power of high school kids. I'm in high school and I love bad religion, plenty of kids really care about music.
