After over 130 Worldwide dates in the past two years playing in 18 countries which have included the United States Canada, Great Britain, Germany, Australia, Japan, France, New Zealand, Italy and many others. The only worldwide lifestyle festival tour, the Rockstar Taste Of Chaos is back with another onslaught of Winter shows in the United States and Canada, featuring a who’s-who of young, loud, aggressive bands.
Kevin Lyman, the man behind the Van’s Warped Tour, has once again created a successful model of more-bang-for-your-buck. Lyman says, “ We have succeeded in giving a World audience an action packed lineup for an inexpensive price. The success of the tour on a worldwide level has been unprecedented. The 2007 USA and Canada Tour is our strongest lineup to date and we are excited to bring this great show to the fans.” The tour is scheduled to hit 41 cities in the U.S. and Canada between mid-February and mid-April. The multi-artist package in the U.S.A. and Canada will feature The Used, 30 Seconds To Mars, Senses Fail, Saosin, Chiodos, Aiden, Evaline and other special musical surprises to be announced.
Rockstar Energy Drink will continue to be the title sponsor of the 2007 tour and will be sampling their products, as well as coming up with some great surprises for attendees. Other sponsors include Best Buy, Guitar Center, Hurley, Chaos Mobile, PETA, Hard Rock Café, Hot Topic, PunkStop, 420 Players, Smarkpunk, SFA and Ernie Ball (who will provide musical instruments for fans to test out and will pick the opening act through their massively successful Ernie Ball Battle of the Bands in conjunction with Chaos Mobile.) FUSE Television and Alternative Press (who will produce the Official Tour Program) have signed on as official Rockstar Taste of Chaos media partners. The Canadian Leg sponsors include MTV Canada, SBC Media, West 49, D-Tox & Amnesia. The concourses at each show will be filled with interactive activities that attendees can enjoy, play and tinker with.
The Used who have been one of the most successful bands in alternative music over the past five years are launching their highly anticipated third album to coincide with the 2007 Tour. Bert McCracken lead vocalist states, “The Rockstar Taste of Chaos is so much fucking fun for the bands and the fans alike. Fans can see a big production and all enjoy all sorts of interactive concourse activities for the price of going to the movies and eating some popcorn. We really support giving our fans a shitload of entertainment for a fair price and this tour accomplishes that… and we are gonna rock some of our new songs on the tour which we are really excited about.”
Internet pre-sale for the 2007 edition of the Rockstar Taste Of Chaos will begin December 1 at chaosmobile.com in conjunction with Music Today. Information, updates and free stuff will also be available at chaosmobile.com, a new venture started by the Rockstar Taste of Chaos partners. Chaos Mobile will be involved in the pre-sale as well as the Ernie Ball Battle of The Bands Opening Act contests. By registering at chaosmobile.com attendees will have the ability to win free musical gear, new music, clothing, video game systems as well as a Cut The Line code to get in the venue first and a Front Of The Line code for getting to the front of the line for autograph signings. Chaos Mobile will also have custom voicetones, video clips, candid photos, free phone wallpapers, exclusive content and lots of exciting features for all of the attendees.
Having already spawned multiple soundtrack CD’s and a Live DVD (which was recently featured as a 30-minute show on FUSE Television) Rockstar Taste Of Chaos, like its summer sibling the Van’s Warped Tour, is only getting bigger and better, offering fans the opportunity to see their favorite bands as well as take part in a number of activities including playing the newest video games, checking out acoustic performances, attending autograph signing sessions and a slew of interactive fan activities that will add to the experience.

: Deftones were the only reason to go last year. Unless the surprise musical guests are actual good bands, even the inexpensive price doesn't make this appealing. It's kind of like the $10 ticket to family values.POSTED: 11/14/2006 - 01:22 pm / quote |

: Yea that's a crappy lineup.
I would go for Chiodos and The Used, maybe Saosin.
Scratch that, just Chiodos and The Used.
That's not chaotic at all.
The should get like...Lacuna Coil.
Anti-Flag, Megadeth, Underoath, Billy Talent, maybe even Glassjaw.
I would definitely see a concert with that lineup, hands down.POSTED: 11/14/2006 - 08:08 pm / quote |

: i noticed that this is from the behind the warped tour. this led me to wonder, if we already have an entire tour dedicated to shitty bands (taste of chaos) why do we need to book the same shitty bands for warped tour?
on the other hand, they are sponsored by companies like "punkstop" and "chaos mobile". sounds pretty hardcore.POSTED: 11/14/2006 - 08:26 pm / quote |

: this tour was way better last year. i went to it in canada and we had silverstein, atreyu, as i lay dying, deftones, thrice, thursday, greenley estates, deftones and others. I thought it was so sweet (except for this blue man group thing, they were so weird). I like TBS and the alexis but i was really hoping for some crazy ass bands like AILD again. a little disappointed but it'll be a good time once i hit the brown bottles POSTED: 11/16/2006 - 12:26 am / quote |
