Ronnie James Dio Tribute Tour Announced

Wendy Dio has announced a tribute tour to her late husband, metal legend Ronnie James Dio.

Former Dio members Rudy Sarzo (bass), Simon Wright (drums), Craig Goldy (guitar) and Scott Warren (keyboards) will team up with singers Tim "Ripper" Owens and Toby Jepson to play a number of shows in Europe under the name Dio Disciples.

"There will never be another Ronnie," says Wendy, "but we want to keep his music alive and hope you will support the band and become one of the DIO Disciples."

"We will post the UK/European tour dates as they are confirmed, and we are planning some US dates, also," Wendy added. "Hope to see you at one of the shows."

Ronnie passed away last May of stomach cancer at the age of 67.

+1 Joey does Dio justice better than anyone else. At his solo shows he does Heaven And Hell and Man On The Silver Mountain, and I've seen him do another half-dozen or so Dio songs in Chief Big Way.
