Simon & Garfunkel originally broke up in 1970, but have reunited frequently over the years for tours and one-off appearances, including 1981's legendary free concert in New York City's Central Park, which attracted more than a half million attendees and spawned a live album and video, and led to the pair touring the world in 1982-83.
The duo's most recent reunion came last fall, when the duo performed at a 25th Anniversary Rock & Roll Hall of Fame concert in New York's Madison Square Garden. Last summer, the pair launched a brief tour of Australia and New Zealand.
Thanks for the report to Livedaily.com.
Simons songwriting and guitar playing are pretty hard to top.
