According to Classic Rock Magazine, Slayer will be touring the United Kingdom. Drummer Dave Lombardo told the publication that the band's upcoming tour will be taking place despite bassist/vocalist Tom Araya's recent back operation.
"We did have to pull out of a Canadian tour with Megadeth because of Tom’s situation," he said. "But, as far as I’m aware the British shows will go ahead. Of course, Tom’s health must take priority. However, he’s making good progress, so we’ll see everyone soon!"
Slayer's latest record,
World Painted Blood, sold 41,000 copies in the United States in its first week of release to debut at No.12 on The Billboard 200 chart.
Supported by Haunted, Slayer are scheduled to play select UK dates later this month.
