Slipknot's Corey Taylor and Shawn Crahan are to both play solo sets at this year's Sonisphere festival.
Crahan's sideproject Dirty Little Rabbits will make their UK debut at the festival, which takes place at Knebworth on August 1-2.
"I know all too well about how accepting and exciting UK audiences can be, so it makes sense that we’re bringing the art to them first," Crahan said of the gig. "I look forward to bringing Dirty Little Rabbits to the world. The invasion begins…."
Meanwhile,
Crahan's
Slipknot bandmate
Corey Taylor will play a solo acoustic set at
Sonisphere.
"I'm very excited to be a part of this festival," he explained. "It'll be the first show of its kind I've ever done in the UK, and I think there are many fans who've waited long enough to see it. It's one of the greatest joys in the world to me [playing acoustic] and I cannot wait to get over there and share that with the fans."
Linkin Park, Metallica and Killing Joke are also confirmed to play the festival. Other newly-announced acts on the bill include The Chapman Family, Cancer Bats and Rolo Tomassi.
