Alt-rockers Staind have added new dates to their upcoming fall tour in support of their recently released album, "The Illusion Of Progress."
The band kicks off the run October 4 in Columbia, MD, with special guests Papa Roach and Seether, with both bands providing opening support throughout the trek. The 28-city outing canvases the US South and East Coast, and runs through early December.
"
The Illusion Of Progress," which hit stores last month, debuted at No. 3 on the Billboard 200 chart, giving
Staind its fourth consecutive album to debut at least that high on the charts.
The set, which follows 2005's platinum-certified "Chapter V," was produced by Johnny K (Disturbed, 3 Doors Down) and was recorded in frotnman Aaron Lewis's home studio.
"We took a lot of time trying to come up with the perfect tone, taking all the different guitars I have and comparing every guitar to every amp," Lewis said in a recent interview LiveDaily. "Sometimes we'd spend eight to 10 hours in a day trying to find the right sound. I think that's probably what was different than other things on the last album."
