Iconic singer/songwriter Stevie Wonder has unveiled plans to embark on his first major tour in a dozen years.
The 13-city itinerary, released today by promoter Live Nation, kicks off Aug. 23, and includes eight stops on the West Coast, as well as appearances in Chicago, Detroit, Atlanta, Baltimore and Boston.
Tickets begin to roll out on Aug. 11, according to Live Nation.
"I am looking forward to performing in these venues under the stars," Wonder said in a prepared statement. "We are going to have some wonderful nights of intimate excitement."
Over the course of his career, Wonder has charted 49 singles in the Top 40, including 32 No. 1 singles, according to Live Nation. He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1989.
Wonder's latest album was "A Time to Love," a set that finally hit stores in 2005 after several delays.
In recent years, Wonder has frequently appeared at charity events and played one-off concerts. However, he hasn't toured the U.S. since he embarked on a monthlong outing in 1995.
