Stone Sour has revealed that bassist Shawn Economaki has left their current tour to return home. The band released the following statement:
"We regret to announce that Shawn Economaki has gone home for personal issues. For the time being, we will continue to tour with a replacement bassist. We wish him all the best."
Currently it is unclear as to how long Economaki will be absent from the band, or who will replace him for the time being. Regardless, we hope for the best and that nothing too serious or harmful has happened. Stone Sour are still in the midst of the
Avalanche Tour along with
Skillet,
Theory Of A Deadman,
Halestorm and
Art Of Dying. We'll keep you posted if more develops. In the meantime, we know of one bassist that might be looking for a gig.
