Alt-metal band Stone Sour recently announced another month's worth of US dates beginning in early August.
"We are simply too far gone to not come and bug you people some more," frontman Corey Taylor said in a posting at the band's website. "These venues have electrical outlets and we have instruments - game on. Look for us to be tearing a swath through America one more time before we take a breath, close our eyes and wait for something else to happen. And you never know what that will be, eh?"
Stone Sour, which is playing the European festival circuit this month, will be back stateside beginning Aug. 3 in Fargo, ND. From there, the rockers will head east, playing cities primarily on the right coast through early Sept. US dates are listed below while overseas shows can be found at the group's website.
Stone Sour traversed the states earlier this year with the Jagermeister Music Tour and recently finished treks of Australia and Japan.
Taylor and guitarist James Root, who are both members of Slipknot, have been focusing their time on Stone Sour over the last couple of years. The latter band put out its gold-certified sophomore album, "Come What(ever) May," last August, scoring a No. 4 spot on The Billboard 200 chart.
Later this month, Stone Sour will release a special-edition version of "Come What(ever) May." The CD/DVD set will comprise six previously unreleased tracks, including a live acoustic cover of Chris Isaak's "Wicked Game" and the music videos for "30/30-150," "Through Glass," "Sillyworld" and the band's latest single, "Made of Scars." The DVD will also include a never-before-seen full concert performance filmed in Moscow last year.
The latest album follows Stone Sour's 2002 self-titled debut, which scored two Grammy nominations and was certified gold by the Recording Industry Association of America.
