Stone Temple Pilots, who late last year canceled their winter tour plans in order to focus on recording a new album, are gearing up for their return to the road.
The band has rolled out a series of spring concerts that get underway with a March 18 performance at the annual SXSW music conference and festival in Austin, TX, and subsequent stops are scattered through late May. Details are included below.
The spring outing will precede the anticipated June release of the group's sixth studio album, its first since 2001's "
Shangri-La Dee Da." The band
debuted the as-yet-untitled 12-track collection during a listening party at New York City's Gramercy Park Hotel.
Following the US outing, the group will head across the pond to tackle some shows on the European festival circuit. Information about those engagements are posted at the band's website.
