The Dillinger Escape Plan: Tour Dates

The Dillinger Escape Plan have announced a series of headlining tours in support of their acclaimed new album Ire Works.

The band will first head out on an U.S. headlining tour in April that will also include an appearance at Bamboozle Left in Irvine, CA. Then in early May, The Dillinger Escape Plan will head to Japan for “Extreme The Dojo 20” with the re-united At The Gates along with Pig Destroyer and Mayhem.

The Dillinger Escape Plan will follow the Japanese tour with a headlining tour of Australia and New Zealand. A complete listing of tour dates can be found online here with more to be announced soon.

Additionally, The Dillinger Escape Plan guitarist Ben Weinman recently spoke with MTV2’s Headbanger’s Blog about broken bones, border patrol, reality shows, and more. Visit headbangersblog.mtv.com to read the complete interview.

I don't really care for Dillinger after their line up change. I loved Calculating Infinity though. I personally think their new album sucks.

Me2NiK :
My favourite album by them has always been Miss Machine. Ire Works was my least favourite but it was still imo a phenomenal album. Dillinger is most definitely one of my favourite bands of all time and I sincerely hope they decide to come up to Canada.

I don't know, after hearing Ire Works, I'm wondering if the new drummer will even be able to play some of their old songs.

People really like these guys? From what I've seen it's just a bunch of dudes having a complete spazz attack to the worst prog metal shit I've ever heard. I think they jump around erractically in some weak attempt to get the crowd into it. Either way, these dudes suck harder than a shop vac on crack.

Dude, go see them live. Gil went through Panasonic Youth and 43% Burnt with no problem whatsoever. I'd kill to see them again, especially with Pig Destroyer.

I just saw them in England and I thought I was going to die. Insane show. Also, Gil was flawless on all their songs.

ninjaface: my thoughts exactly, I've seen them on festival 3 weeks ago - it was mostly terrible, the only thing worth listening to were drums

I agree, I saw them in 06 and it was just a bunch of noise, I couldn't hear the so called "technicality" of their music. And it's not like I don't listen to heavy or technical music(Meshuggah, Psyopus, Gorguts), but I just don't see it with this band.

Seen them twice because they were on the bill for the bands I went to see.....I agree with everyone who thinks that this band plays random noise. I second with the jumping around randomly as well.

the new drummer can definitly keep up with calculating infinity. as far as this "random noise shit" goes, all of you can take a bow..you deserve it. eat shit, you've earned it. straight from dimitri

Oh cripes. Meshugga is so overrated as a "technical" band. They have poly-rhythm once in a while and that's it, and that isn't that impressive. This band has skills, and that's that. Just because you don't get it, does not mean it isn't technical or they make "noise."

Anyway, all i can say is, why Pig Destroyer and Mayhem. Lol, man, i would pay NOT to see those bands. Hahah. I'm excited for the US tour, and still upset that they toured with Between the Buried and Me in EUROPE and not here, man that would have been sweet.
